| Welcome to Club Hasselblad!
This club is open to anyone, anywhere, who enjoys phototography with Hasselblad cameras old and new. This is not an official Hasselblad site, and there is no use asking questions of the WebMaster, whose skills lie in controlling and setting up the site only. All questions should be directed through our BBS, which with the active help of members should be an excellent resource of help and information. This is also not a commercial site, and we do not have a "for sale" or valuation role. This is a Club for those who want to share their hobby with others, learn from others and teach others.
Any images displayed on Club Hasselblad remain the property of the creators.
Facilities:
Bulletin Board:
We have been using a 'BBS' which is run for members to share information and ask questions, but due to unforseen problems, the BBS has been closed. I would like to thank Jun for the efforts he has made in allowing us to use the BBS on his server. In the meantime I suggest any members subscribe to the Hasselblad Users Group an e-Mail based news letter. I encourage all who visit here and have an interest in the Marque to join either the direct mail or digest forms of the HUG. The details of subscription are seen below. I do hope to be able to get another BBS some time soon, but do not hold your breath ;-)
TO SUBSCRIBE TO IMMEDIATE FORM OF LIST
send to majordomo@kelvin.net, the following (in the body of the message, NOT the subject)
subscribe hasselblad <your email address>
TO SUBSCRIBE TO DIGEST FORM
send to majordomo@kelvin.net, the following (in the body of the message, NOT the subject)
subscribe hasselblad digest <your email address>
You will have to confirm your interest in receiving e-Mail, and then you will receive a welcome mail with valuable instructions on how to post or leave the list. Please keep this for reference.
Gallery:
The Gallery will display the works of Club Members for a set period of time. Images must be submitted in digital format to Mr George Ruebner by e-Mail attachment. Please send up to a maximum of 6 images in standard jpeg format, with image size no greater than 600 X 600 pixels. The submissions will be reviewed by the Club Committee before publication, and must comply with Australian Internet Publication Guidelines. Only original work can be considered, and copyright will remain with the photographer.
The second part of our gallery is dedicated to educational resources. Images submitted by members will be published to demonstrate the uses of Hasselblad equipment. We plan to update this section of the gallery more slowly, developing a bank of images and technical information which can help the photographer to better utilize the whole range of Hasselblad photographic equipment. To submit images to this gallery, you will have to send a more extensive text description of equipment used, technique applied, and a personal description of your photographic philosophy. Again, only images selected by the Club Committee will be published, and any image published here is intended for long term publication at this site as a future resource.
Links page:
We have a page of photographic links to other Hasselblad related sites and to the home pages of Club Members. If you wish to have your URL included, please contact the Web Master.
Feel free to contact the Web Master, especially when you want to have your exhibition here.

Future Plans:
As a non-photographer, I am open to all suggestions on how we can make this page more interesting and viable. There are some storage restrictions on the page at the present time, and funds to maintain this site are made by the Club Committee as a "labour of love". We will explore sponsorship if the site proves popular and we remain in debt to Jun Nakajima for providing the cgi site for our BBS.
One suggestion is the development of a html based camera manual for Hasselblad models. This exercise is time and space intensive, but I hope that this will soon be available. Currently we are contacting Hasselblad for copyright approval and technical advise.
George.

Special thanks to Jun 'BOSS' Nakajima (Tokyo, Japan) and Nao'omi Kuratani (former webmaster)
